Kossuth County Community Foundation has Awarded a $5,000 Grant to Elderbridge Agency on Aging to Support Client Assistance

The Kossuth County Community Foundation has awarded a $5,000 grant to Elderbridge Agency on Aging to support client assistance for low- to middle-income older Iowans aged 60 and older, as well as adults with disabilities aged 18 to 59, who have unmet needs. The funding will provide essential assistance for housing, utilities, and emergency needs, such as shelter and utility payments. It will also cover medical equipment like assistive devices, lift chairs, scooters, hearing aids, and eyeglasses, as well as home modifications, including ramps, minor repairs, vehicle adaptations, and safety bars. Additionally, it will support transportation, daily living expenses, and medication copays when no other funding sources are available.

On January 15, 2025, Lionel Foster, Elderbridge Advisory Council Member, and Tammie McCready, Grant Writer, attended an awards luncheon ceremony at the Kossuth County Agriculture & Motorsports Museum in Algona to formally accept the grant. Elderbridge extends heartfelt thanks to the Kossuth County Community Foundation for their generous gift and commitment to supporting the Elderbridge mission.
