Barb and Tom Hovland made a Generous Donation of a $1000 to Elderbridge’s “Slam Dunk Against Hunger” Fundraiser

On February 10, 2025, Barb Hovland generously presented a $1,000 donation to Elderbridge Board Vice President Steve Kruse in support of our “Slam Dunk Against Hunger” online silent auction. Thanks to the generosity of Barb and Tom Hovland, Elderbridge has raised $7,669.55 toward our $25,000 goal.

The auction will take place from March 2–9, 2025, featuring a variety of product donations from businesses and community supporters, as well as cash contributions. All proceeds will benefit Elderbridge’s meal program for older Iowans, supporting both congregate and home-delivered meal services. These funds play a crucial role in fighting hunger, reducing malnutrition, and promoting well-being.
