The Jaspers Family Foundation Fund of Worth County has Awarded a $5,000 Grant to Elderbridge Agency on Aging to Support Client Assistance
The Jaspers Family Foundation Fund of Worth County has awarded a $5,000 grant to Elderbridge Agency on Aging to support client assistance for low- to middle-income older Iowans aged 60 and older, as well as adults with disabilities aged 18 to 59, in Worth County who have unmet needs.
The funding will provide essential assistance for housing, utilities, and emergency needs, such as shelter and utility payments. It will also cover medical equipment like assistive devices, lift chairs, scooters, hearing aids, and eyeglasses, as well as home modifications, including ramps, minor repairs, vehicle adaptations, and safety bars. Additionally, it will support transportation, daily living expenses, and medication copays when no other funding sources are available.
On January 16, 2025, Sandy Olson, Elderbridge Advisory Council Member, and Tammie McCready, Grant Writer, attended an awards ceremony at the Worth County Iowa State University Extension Office in Northwood to accept the grant. Elderbridge is grateful to the Jaspers Family Fund for their generous gift and their commitment to supporting our mission to serve the Worth County community.
