Elderbridge Agency on Aging is thrilled to announce that on March 4, 2025, we were officially notified of a $122,702 grant award from Community Care Corp. This funding will support our vital Volunteer Program, allowing us to enhance and expand our volunteer services throughout our service area.
The grant will be strategically allocated to enhance volunteer recruitment and retention, implement robust recognition initiatives, facilitate program expansion, provide comprehensive training and development opportunities, and improve overall operational efficiency.
Our dedicated direct service volunteers play a vital role in addressing critical service gaps for older Iowans. They provide essential support, including transportation, household chores, homemaker services, telephone reassurance, and more. Furthermore, volunteers contribute to the agency’s operational success by serving on our Board of Directors, Advisory Council, and fundraising committee, and assisting with various operational duties. Elderbridge Agency on Aging’s ability to fulfill its mission is fundamentally dependent on the invaluable contributions of our volunteers.
Community Care Corp, a national program established in 2019, supports innovative local initiatives that connect volunteers with older adults, family caregivers, and adults with disabilities, fostering independence through nonmedical assistance. We extend our sincere gratitude to Community Care Corp for their generous support.
