Clay County Community Foundation generously awarded Elderbridge Agency on Aging a $20,000 Disaster Relief Grant

The Clay County Community Foundation generously awarded Elderbridge Agency on Aging a $20,000 Disaster Relief grant on August 21, 2024, to support disaster recovery efforts. This funding will be a lifeline for low-to-moderate-income older adults and adults with disabilities residing in Clay County, which is one of the 19 counties within Elderbridge’s region that have been declared disaster areas due to devastating June floods.

Hundreds of calls for assistance have poured in from flood-affected residents, highlighting the urgent need for support. The grant will enable Elderbridge to provide essential aid to clients, including appliances, dehumidifiers, water heaters, mold removal and cleaning services, PERS units, medical supplies and equipment, and much more.

On behalf of our board, staff, and clients who will benefit from this generous support, we extend our gratitude to the Clay County Community Foundation for their commitment to the Elderbridge mission.
