Shelly Sindt., Chief Executive Officer

The Elderbridge Agency on Aging Board of Directors named Shelly Sindt the Chief Executive Officer in February 2017.  Prior to that Sindt served as the Elderbridge Co-Executive Director.  Shelly possess more than thirty-five years of progressive experience in the human services field. My passion for the elderly began when I was in high school and began working in the dietary department at a local nursing home and later working at the same nursing home as both a Licensed Practical Nurse and Registered Nurse. My professional history includes positions such as Nurse Area Manager at Seasons Center for Community Mental Health as well as Case Management/Program Development Director at the Northwest Aging Association. I assisted in the successful establishment of a new 501©3 corporation to generate new sources of funding to the agency. I am an active member of the Iowa Association of Area Agencies on Aging and the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging. I am a passionate advocate for programs and services that benefit the elderly, caregivers and adults with disabilities and actively participate in the legislative advocacy process. I have developed strong partnerships with local community-based providers as well as state agencies and legislators.
