Iowa Lakes Electric Members Charitable Foundation (ILEC) Operation Roundup gives a $3000 Grant for Material Aid Program

Elderbridge Agency on Aging is pleased to announce it has received a $3,000 grant from the Iowa Lakes Electric Members Charitable Foundation (ILEC) Operation Roundup. Funds received will be used to support our Material Aid Program in designated counties served by the foundation.
Jarrett Smith, Operation Round Up Foundation board member, presented Elderbridge’s CEO, Shelly Sindt, with a check on October 31, 2018, at the Elderbridge office in Spencer.
ILEC’s Operation Round Up “gathers voluntary contributions from participating cooperative member-owners by rounding up their monthly bills to the next dollar and uses the funds collected for charitable purposes.”
Material aid fills gaps that cannot be met by any other means. It is a last resort. This program makes available emergency funds to low-income qualified seniors and adults with disabilities to help with co-pays for medication, food, an emergency response system, repairs on floor tile that are a tripping hazard, respite care for an overworked caregiver needing a break and more. Thank you ILEC for your help to support the Elderbridge’s mission.
