Elderbridge to Host Caregiver Appreciation Event in Fort Dodge

Elderbridge Agency on Aging invites caregivers to come and join us on June 21st for an informational, fun, and relaxing time.

We want to thank all the caregivers in our area because they are our unsung heroes.

A caregiver appreciation event will be held June 21st in Fort Dodge from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Fort Frenzy Family Entertainment Center located at 3232 1st Avenue South.

Elderbridge Agency on Aging invites family caregivers to participate in an informational, fun, and relaxing time. Planned activities include informational booths for family caregivers hosted by Iowa State Extension Service, Spirit Home Health, Friendship Haven Adult Day Program and Community Health Center of Fort Dodge. Art activities will be provided by Blanden Memorial Art Museum along with chair massages courtesy La’James International College of Cosmetology.

Elderbridge staff would like to show our appreciation to all the family caregivers in the area because they are our unsung heroes.  Few understand how valuable our family caregivers are. As the credit card commercial says, they are priceless. But they also have a financial value. AARP figures the economic value of family care in the U.S. could be as high as $470 billion annually!
