Shelly Sindt, Chief Executive Officer
In February 2017 the Elderbridge Agency on Aging Board of Directors appointed Shelly Sindt as the Chief Executive Officer. Prior to her role as Chief Executive Officer, she served as the Elderbridge Co-Executive Director. Shelly has extensive years of progressive experience in the human services field. Her passion for the elderly began when she was in high school working in the dietary department at a local nursing home. Later, she returned to work at the same nursing home as both a Licensed Practical Nurse and Registered Nurse. Her professional history includes positions such as Nurse Area Manager at Seasons Center for Community Mental Health as well as Case Management/Program Development Director at the Northwest Aging Association. Shelly assisted in the successful establishment of a new 501©3 corporation to generate new sources of funding to the agency. She is an active member of the Iowa Association of Area Agencies on Aging and the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging. She is a passionate advocate for programs and services that benefit the elderly, caregivers and adults with disabilities and actively participates in the legislative advocacy process. Shelly has developed strong partnerships with local community-based providers as well as state agencies and legislators.
Stacia Timmer, Director of Operations
Stacia comes to Elderbridge with over 20 years of human service experience. She graduated from Northwestern College of Orange City Iowa with a degree in Sociology and Psychology. She has experience in the mental health field, as well as the aging and disabilities network. She also worked as a long term care ombudsman for the state of Iowa for several years. She has a great working knowledge of the aging population and is in tune with the ever-changing needs of older Iowans. She oversees the day to day operations of the programs and services that Elderbridge excels in providing to its’ clients. She lives in Spencer with her husband and their two sons. They enjoy attending their boys’ sporting events, boating, and camping.
Robert Ammann, Associate Director - Healthy Aging and Fort Dodge Office Manager
Robert has worked with the Elderbridge Agency on Aging Senior Nutrition Program since January 2007, first as Program Coordinator and currently as Program Director. Prior to joining Elderbridge, Robert served as the Director of Food Services at ConAgra Foods in Omaha, NE., as well as Retail Food Service Director and Catering Director at Creighton University, also in Omaha, NE. Robert has multi-unit management experience and extensive knowledge in all areas of commercial food service operations. Robert received his B.S. degree in Hotel, Restaurant & Institution Management from Iowa State University and his Master of Business degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Robert enjoys golf, skiing and trout fishing the spring-fed streams of northeast Iowa, and spending time with his Vizsla hunting dog Chloe.
Sherri Boedeker, Agency Associate Director, and Fiscal Director
Sherri has a BA degree in Accounting from Buena Vista University, an MS in Administrative Studies degree from Missouri State University, and holds a CPA certificate. Sherri’s past experience has been in both accounting and education. She taught accounting at Hamilton College and Buena Vista University before going to the Mason City ConAgra plant and serving as Cost Accounting Manager at that facility. Sherri then returned to education as the Academic Dean at Kaplan University in Mason City before joining Elderbridge in the fiscal department. Sherri appreciates the services that Elderbridge provides and enjoys being a part of the agency.
