World Elder Abuse Awareness Day

Elderbridge Agency on Aging will be hosting a series of events June 15th, World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, to help raise awareness in the fight against elder abuse.

Elderbridge will be hosting events in four locations:

Spencer – 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Hy Vee, 819 Grand Ave., Spencer
Fort Dodge – 9 a.m. to noon, Hy Vee, 115 S. 29th Street, Fort Dodge
Mason City – 8 a.m. to noon, Hy Vee East, 551 S. Illinois Ave, Mason City
Mason City – 8 a.m. to noon, Hy Vee West, 2400 4th Street SW, Mason City

Staff  will be on hand, answering questions and hosting drawings for $25.00 Hy Vee gift cards at each location

Approximately 1 in 10 Americans over the age of 60 have been the victim of elder abuse of some kind and estimates for abused seniors range as high as 5 million annually. No one should have to suffer abuse of any kind. Please join us to put an end to elder abuse.
